iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro detailed specs and renders revealed ahead of launch

The iQOO 9 Series will debut in China on the 5th of January. The company is set to launch two new flagship smartphones in China, which include the vanilla model and the 9 Pro.

Details of the two devices have leaked in the past, iQOO itself has confirmed the display and fast charging details of the two devices. A couple of days ahead of the launch, we have the complete specs of both the devices courtesy of tipster Ishan Agarwal and MySmartPrice.

The two premium smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Let us take a look at the detailed specs of the features and other details of the device.

iQOO will launch its latest flagship smartphones on the 5th of January. Beginning with the Pro model, the phone will feature a 6.78″ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen will have a 2K resolution (3200 x 1440 pixels) and 517ppi.

Coming to the rear camera setup, the iQOO 9 Pro has a 50MP GN5 1/1.57″ sensor. The main camera will come with OIS support and an f/1.75 aperture. It will have a 50MP, 150-degree ultrawide camera with an f/2.3 aperture.

The ultrawide camera will also shoot macro images and come with support for a fisheye mode similar to the GT 2 Pro.

Finally, the phone will have a 16MP selfie shooter. The rear camera on the 9 Pro will support 8K video recording as well.

The phone comes with a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging.

It will measure 164.8mm x 75.2mm x 8.8mm/9.2mm depending on the variant.

The phone weighs about 204g and 210g for both variants, which includes the BMW Motorrad Edition.

The device will come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It will boot Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean out of the box.

We have an image courtesy of the vanilla variant’s rear panel, which reveals a huge camera module block. The device has a triple-camera setup with two large cutouts and the third cutout is placed below the LED flash.

It will feature a 50MP Samsung GN5 1/1.57″ sensor with OIS, a 13MP, 120-degree ultrawide camera, and a 12MP portrait camera.

The rear panel has the iconic BMW stripes on the back. The power button on the right edge of the phone has a blue accent on it. For selfies, the device features a 16MP sensor. It comes with a 6.78″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 388ppi and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The display has a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. Agarwal has also claimed that the phone will come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It will pack a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The device weighs 206g and measures 164.5 x 76.7 x 8.3mm. It also boots Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box.
