With the year coming to an end, smartphone brands are gearing up to launch their flagship devices in China on the eve of 2025, and iQOO is one of them. In terms of work, this company is planning to launch its Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered phone in Q4 2025. Historically, iQOO’s flagship series typically consisted of a standard and a Pro model. However, the last year iQOO 13 came without a Pro variant. But reports now indicate its successor will reintroduce the Pro version, giving you both standard and Pro models.

iQOO 15 Tipped to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, 7,000mAh Battery, and Periscope Camera

It is worth mentioning that, iQOO, in all likelihood, would be going to skip the number 14 and go straight to 15 for its upcoming flagship. This is related to the number 4 which seems to be unlucky a lot in Asian cultures. Adding more weight to this speculation, a recent leak shared by tipster Smart Pikachu has revealed key specifications while referring to the device as iQOO 15 instead of iQOO 14.

As for the iQOO 15’s display, the leak revealed that it would be a flat OLED panel with 2K resolution and eye protection technology and will also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It will also feature a huge 7,000mAh battery and a periscope telephoto camera for better zoom. The device is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which won’t officially launch until October 2025, though the chipset isn’t technically confirmed from the leak, it paints a very clear picture of what’s to come.

But, the spec leak seems to be for the iQOO 15 Pro instead of the vanilla one. If this is the case, it is in line with an earlier report from tipster Experience More that said only the Pro model will be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera whereas a standard iQOO 15 will miss out on the feature. If this barrage of leaks is to be believed, a two-model strategy is returning with iQOO’s next flagship series, giving users both a premium and affordable option.
