Next year, India and China might both create the new iPhone 15 series at once

Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo asserted on Thursday that the upcoming iPhone 15 is expected to be produced at the same time in China and India next year as Apple gears up to debut the next-generation iPhone 14 series, which will be made in India roughly six weeks after China.

iPhone Production: India and China

It is now anticipated that, in 2023, both China and India will simultaneously build the iPhone 15 due to a little decrease in the time difference between each country’s iPhone production.

In a tweet, Kuo stated that although India’s mass production schedule for the 14 series is still around six weeks behind China’s, the difference has narrowed dramatically. So it makes sense to assume that the next version will be able to be produced simultaneously in China and India in 2019.

According to sources from last month, the tech giant would begin manufacturing the newest series in India two months after their release. But as of right now, the Kuo says that it will be produced “approximately six weeks” later.

Last month, Kuo tweeted that his most recent study showed Foxconn’s iPhone manufacturing facility in India would begin shipping the new 6.1-inch virtually concurrently with China in the second half of 2022. (India being one quarter or more behind in the past).

Difference in Capacities and Shipments

The analyst added that although India’s capacity and shipments of these devices still lag behind China in the medium term, it’s a significant step for Apple in the development of a non-Chinese iPhone production facility.

Over the years, the IT giant has increased production in India while cooperating with its suppliers. Meanwhile, the new 14 series range, Watches, and other goods will be on display during Apple’s “Far Out” event on September 7.

The company’s first significant event since the pandemic’s two-year period will take place on-site at Apple’s Cupertino location in the US. According to market research firm CyberMedia Research, Apple sold more than 1.2 million iPhones in the nation in the second quarter of this year, showing a staggering 94 percent gain (year-over-year) (CMR).
