Leaked Images Show Entry-Level iPhone 15 with Minimal Design Changes

Apple’s next iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 15, is set to launch in September of this year. As usual, rumors and leaks are circulating regarding the design and features of the new device. The latest leak comes in the form of CAD renders of the iPhone 15, which provide some insight into what we can expect from Apple’s entry-level device.

According to the renders, the iPhone 15 will have a 6.2-inch display, similar to the iPhone 14. The device will also have a dual-camera setup, with the Dynamic Island feature that was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max also making its way to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.

iPhone 15 rumored specs

While the design of this iPhone is said to be similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 14, the leaked CAD renders suggest that the device will have a thinner bezel and a deeper curve around the edges. However, deeper curves are reportedly exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, and not expected for the entry-level model.

One interesting tidbit from the leak is the absence of capacitive buttons on the base iPhone model, unlike some previous models. This suggests that Apple may be moving away from capacitive buttons altogether, which would be a significant change in design for the iPhone.

Apple‘s iPhone 15 is also said to be equipped with an A16 chip, Wi-Fi 6, and a Qualcomm X70 modem. Additionally, rumors suggest that Apple may adopt USB-C in lieu of the Lightning port, although this is yet to be confirmed.

It’s important to note that the leaked CAD renders are based on an early version of the latest iPhone, which Apple internally refers to as D37. While it’s unlikely that there have been changes to the design, it’s still a possibility.

As we approach the launch of the new iPhone, more leaks and rumors are sure to surface. But for now, it looks like the entry-level device will have a similar design to the iPhone 14, with some minor changes and updates to its features.
