Renders of Apple iPhone 12s dummy models have leaked recently, it showed the new diagonal dual-lens camera setup that Apple had going on. A Weibo user even confirmed that these images were leaked by someone who had accurately created iPhone dummies in the past year.
This year Apple is expected to make several significant improvements to the iPhone 12s’ camera with an upgraded ultra-wide camera lens with a six-element lens, a wider f/1.8 aperture, and autofocus.
So considering all of these camera specs, it comes as no surprise that the iPhone 12s will be capable of shooting movie-quality videos on the constant. The iPhone 12s will of course come with a bigger and better battery. Reports now suggest that Apple’s iPhone 12s will feature support for Portrait mode in video and that this would enable a similar effect to that of dynamic bokeh effects you will get in Portrait mode static images and adds that to your videos.
This movie-style portrait mode can really elevate the quality of your videos, this will be coming to the stock camera app as part of its next-gen iPhone launch this fall. Just in time to record all of those fireworks and snap the annual family reunion photos on Diwali.
At present, the Portrait mode is available in iOS 14 for static images only. iOS 15 on the other hand, brings Portrait mode video to FaceTime and other third-party camera applications like Snapchat.
