The Calm Before the Storm

Last episode gave 2nd Company a rare stretch of peace, from washing blankets to a group dinner, after news that Jo Baek Ho (Oh Dae Hwan) had been promoted to major. But the mood flipped at the very end when Major Kim Ha Na turned up at the Shinwha Unit without warning. Her announcement was short and ominous: she was there to conduct an inventory inspection across the military.

A Sharp Major and a Nervous Supply Officer

In the new stills, Gong Min Jung’s Kim Ha Na has a sharp, commanding presence. Nearby, supply officer Park Jae Soo (Oh Yong) is seen making a hurried phone call with a tense expression, which suggests something in the numbers may not add up. An earlier preview hinted that the trouble won’t stop with the platoon leader, and that even the battalion commander could face a disciplinary committee. What the inspection will uncover is the big question.

3rd Barracks in Emergency Mode

The stills also show Jeon Se Gye (Kim Dong Jun) and his unit struggling to match numbers against mountains of supplies and stacked helmets. With even the smallest discrepancy unacceptable, the scene captures the show’s mix of tension and absurd comedy. Can 3rd Barracks pass without incident? That’s the question hanging over the finale.

The Biggest Crisis Yet

The production team teased that the initial shock of the inspection will soon give way to the biggest crisis the unit members have faced since serving at the Shinwha Unit. They also promised a story where the soldiers can never let their guard down until the very end. In other words, expect more than a paperwork problem.
