The 12th Gen Core Alder Lake CPUs were the focus of Intel’s CES 2022 press conference. Graphics fans, on the other hand, were left with confusing statements such as “it is shipping to OEMs” and “it will be available in Q1 2022.” The latter was not exactly breaking news at the time, but the enigmatic statement was tied to a laptop design, implying that the Arc will only be available on mobile devices.

Normally, one would assume that this was a mistake because Intel’s websites are constantly updated, but the absence of Q1 was carried over to other portions of the page, implying that it was done on purpose.

To say the least, Intel’s messaging on the Arc release date is perplexing. Only two days ago, the corporation confirmed that Arc will be released in Q1 2022, however, this reaffirmation has since been removed from the website.

Graphics enthusiasts should be concerned that Arc GPUs may not be available in the first quarter, and even if they are, their availability for laptops would be limited. According to previous rumors, the desktop Arc would be released in the second quarter. It gradually becomes clear that this date may be associated with the entire Arc series, not just the desktop.

ARC GPUs are coming to laptops and desktop prebuilt systems, as well as add-in-cards (custom designs) from board partners, according to Intel. Intel revealed its upcoming VISion event on May 10th during the CES 2022 conference, which could be linked to the Intel Arc launch.
