Intel Core i9-11900K makes a record-breaking single-core Geekbench score

We know Intel will be snatching back its gaming crown soon from AMD with its Rocket Lake desktop CPUs and we already have got a lot of benchmarks until now proving that. In both Geekbench and PassMark, the upcoming 8-core flagship Core i9-11900K has managed to blow away the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series in single-core.

This time again the CPU has created a new record and has become the first CPU to hit 1.9K points in single-core. The 8 core, 16 threaded CPU has a max all-core boost of 4.8GHz and 3.5GHz base clock speeds whereas the single-core boost goes up to a whopping 5.3GHz.

Now, in the overclocked state the CPU posts an impressive 1905 points in single-core whereas in multi-core it scores 10994 points. The Core i9-11900K just manages to beat the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X by a narrow margin which scores 10427 points.

The CPU is even 12-13% faster than the AMD flagship Ryzen 5950X in the single-core benchmark. On the other hand, the 16-core Ryzen CPU is still 47-53% faster in multi-core tests. Overall, the upcoming Intel flagship looks crazy on paper while the single-core results are just mind-blowing!
