Intel creates a record by reaching 'Power-On' with its 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPU

The Blue team has already launched its 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors worldwide and they are really fast, easily beat AMD while still being cheaper or at same price. Now, already as per rumours Intel is having good sales of these CPUs and is already planning for a better future.

So, during the first half of 2023, we widely expect at CES 2023, Intel will unveil their Core i9-13900KS, a special SKU by the Blue team, a first 6 GHz consumer processor. Also, it is widely expected Intel will announce Raptor Lake CPUs for laptops as well alongside the other non-K desktop CPUs of the same lineup.

2023 will see Raptor Lake Refresh, 2024 will bring new Arrow Lake and Meteor Lake

So, as per ECSM_Official, in 2023 Intel will be opting to go for updated Raptor Lake CPUs with a minor boost of 100 to 200 MHz clock speeds. While many have stated Meteor Lake could arrive as soon as late 2023 but here ECSM_Official doesn’t agree with it because it is assumed that how good performance Raptor Lake is already providing, a refresh will do the job for Intel as of next year.

However, the true next-gen Arrow Lake and Meteor Lake processors will be limited to 6P+16E core configuration, so its highly unlikely we will see top-of-the-line desktop SKUs with this architecture. So, Intel is expected to use the Arrow Lake for its desktop Core i7 and Core i9 SKUs and as it appears the architecture, lithography being used for these upcoming chips will again be complex.

A new socket change is highly likely in 2024, that could be called LGA1851 and will support both Meteor and Arrow Lake CPUs as well as a chance to accommodate the successor Panther Lake as well. What do you think about these Intel CPU rumours? Do let us know in the comments.
