Intel Arc A370M Entry-Level Laptop Gaming GPU offers competitive performance against NVIDIA’s GTX 1650 SUPER in new Benchmark results

The performance of the new Intel Arc A370M entry-level graphics card, which is based on the Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture, is comparable to that of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER graphics card.

TUM APISAK discovered the Intel Arc A370M graphics card in the SiSoftware Sandra benchmark database. The graphics processor is intended for entry-level laptops and has specifications that are close to those of the desktop-grade Arc A380, which has been leaked numerous times. While the GPU would have the same core arrangement as the CPU, because it is designed for mobility, it is likely to have lower clock speeds and a lower TDP.

The Intel Arc A370M graphics processor is listed as having 160 EUs in the specifications, but this is incorrect because the database is combining the EU count of both the discrete GPU and the integrated UHD 770 GPU. As a result, the Arc A370M has 128 EUs and the UHD 770 iGPU has 32 EUs.

The dGPU additionally has 4 GB of GDDR6 memory and runs on a 128-bit bus interface, which the benchmarking software does not reveal. Furthermore, while a 1.55 GHz clock speed is specified, it’s unclear whether this refers to the GPU or the dGPU.

Having said that, the performance numbers for the Intel Arc A370M appear to be quite good, especially considering it is still waiting for finalized drivers. In half, single, double, and quad float GP tests, the graphics card scored 2,399.97 Mpix/s and an individual score of 10,612.4, 5,208.4, 250.09, and 27.40 Mpix/s, respectively.

This level of performance puts the Arc A370M on par with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER, which achieves 2,568.82 Mpix/s, and is ahead of AMD’s Radeon RX 580, which achieves 2292.97 Mpix/s in the same benchmark.

In terms of performance, we estimate the Intel Arc DG2-128 GPUs to be on par with or quicker than NVIDIA’s entry-level GeForce GTX 1650/GTX 1660 Series. The latter GPUs will include a variety of current capabilities like Ray-Tracing and XSS, as well as improved hardware encoding and decoding methods.
