India vs South Africa Test 3, Day 3: SA needs 111 runs to win

The hosts reached 101/2 on DAY 3’s end at Cape Town test, Indian bowler Bumrah dismissing Elgar on the final ball.

Match Report

Keegan Peterson scored 48 runs and was still unbeaten after Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of Dean Elgar who score 30. His dismissal marked the end of Day 3 in the final Test series in Cape Town. The visitors have set a target of 212 runs for the Proteas to win. Mohammad Shami got Aiden Markram out at 16 but Peterson and Elgar had a spectacular partnership. SA ended the day on 101/2.

Rishabh Pant had scored a memorable century India set 212 runs for South Africa to win the third and final Test in Cape Town. Pant remained unbeaten on 100 as South Africa bowled out India for 198 in the second innings before the tea break.

Marco Jansen took four wickets while Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi took three each.

Jasprit Bumrah provided India with the breakthrough on the last ball of the day as India gave a tough fightback. Elgar caught in the leg- side- trap. India needs eight more wickets to win while South Africa.
