South Africa had had dismissed the visitors for below 223 but Jaspreet Bumrah resisted the visitors by taking Dean Elgar’s wicket on the very first day. On day 2, he dismissed Aiden Markram on the second delivery.

The hosts had a steady partnership between the batters but soon Bumrah again picked the wicket of Keegan Peterson and thereafter Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi and achieved his 7th five-wicket haul in test cricket.

It’s quite interesting because Bumrah had made his Test Debut in 2018 at the same venue.

Keegan Peterson and Kagiso Rabada added three more runs to the total of 72 made by Keegan Peterson. Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Oliver had added 21 runs to the total but soon Rabada was dismissed by Shardul Thakur and South Africa came to a figure at 200/9. The visitors were all bowled out for 210 runs.

On the first day of the third test, India got dismissed at 223 runs, Virat Kohli being the top-scorer making 79 runs. Rabada had taken four wickets for his team.

The visitors had a tough time as the top-scorers KL Rahul got dismissed (10) by Rabada and Mayank Agarwal returned to the pavilion scoring only 7. Kohli scored 14 and Cheteshwar Pujara made 9 runs taking India at a figure of 57/2 after 17 overs at stumps.
