Team India will play against New Zealand for the first test at Green Park cricket stadium in Kanpur. This is the first match of the two days test series and it will be counted for the second cycle of the World Test Championship. The last time India played against the Kiwis was back in 2016 where India won.

Team India has always won every match at Green Park for the past 38 years. That’s a huge record. Last time the team got defeated back in 1983 against the West Indies. Since then, India has played eight Tests, being victorious in five of them. India consecutively won the last three Tests at this venue, for which this place is India’s favourite place to play. The two teams (India and New Zealand ) have played thrice at this venue where India won two matches but the first one in 1976 proved to be a draw.
