Two Contrasting Sides in One Shoot
The new profile photos are built around a deliberate contrast between light and dark, mature and youthful. The first set of images features Lee Jae Hyun in a black turtleneck, highlighting a more chic, composed side. Shadows and light play across his face, giving the shots a weightier, more intense feel, with his deep, steady gaze into the camera conveying charisma and quiet confidence.
The second half of the shoot shifts gears entirely, pairing a simple white T-shirt with jeans for a fresh, natural look. Loose, natural hair and clean styling round out the youthful mood, with his subtle smile giving off an easygoing, nostalgic charm.
Why This Matters for His Acting Career
Profile photos like these often serve as an actor’s introduction to casting directors and audiences beyond their music fandom, and the deliberate stylistic contrast here seems designed to showcase Lee Jae Hyun’s range early on. Subtle shifts in gaze and expression across the two looks aim to demonstrate versatility — a signal that he’s positioning himself as more than just an idol trying out acting on the side.
Balancing Both Careers
Despite the new acting push, Hyunjae isn’t stepping away from his group. He’ll continue his activities as THE BOYZ’s Hyunjae on the music side, while pursuing acting opportunities separately under his real name, Lee Jae Hyun — a dual-career path increasingly common among K-pop idols branching into film and drama.
