Imagine this: a tough detective and his ex-wife’s new husband — a soft-spoken vet — forced to team up on a dangerous rescue mission. That’s the gloriously chaotic setup of Husbands in Action, one of the most exciting upcoming Korean action-comedy films heading to Netflix in Q2 2026. And honestly? The cast alone is enough to get any K-drama fan buzzing.

What’s the Story?
Detective Chung Sik finally captures a notorious drug gang leader after years of investigation — only to immediately discover his ex-wife has been kidnapped. With no time to waste, he teams up with the last person he’d ever want beside him: Min-seok, his ex-wife’s current husband, a mild-mannered veterinarian who is about as far from a field operative as you can get.
Meanwhile, the drug lord’s capture creates a dangerous power vacuum, with two rival gang leaders — Do-jun and Yong-gang — clashing for control. Comedy, chaos, and action are guaranteed to collide. It’s the kind of premise that feels both fresh and completely irresistible — and the production studio TPS Company has a strong track record with high-concept Korean films like Hard Hit, SEOBOK, and 6/45.
Husbands in Action: Cast Is Stacked
This is where things get genuinely exciting. Every actor in this lineup brings serious credentials. Jin Seon Kyu (Vincenzo, Kingdom) plays the detective Chung Sik, while Gong Myung (20th Century Girl) steps in as the reluctant ally Min-seok. Kim Ji Suk (Destined With You) plays gang leader Do-jun, and the brilliant Yoon Kyung Ho (Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Vincenzo) takes on rival gang boss Yong-gang.
On the female side, Kang Han Na (Start-Up, My Roommate Is a Gumiho) plays Sim Ae, and Lee Da Hee (Search: WWW, The Beauty Inside) rounds out the leads as Hye Ran. This is a genuinely A-tier ensemble — the kind that elevates any material it touches.
Filming wrapped in late 2025 after beginning in May 2025, so the post-production is well underway. For more K-drama and OTT streaming news, keep checking technosports.co.in. We’ve been covering the Korean content wave and all major Netflix releases closely at technosports.co.in.
