Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to make its comeback in the premium flagship category with the launch of the new Huawei Mate 50 Series smartphones.
Now, we have come across reports from cnbeta that the phones in this lineup will be launched in the first quarter of 2022 but no specific timeline has been revealed by the company.
If previous reports are to be believed, then we can see the Huawei Mate 50 Series launch in March 2022.
Earlier, the Huawei Mate 50 Series phones were supposed to launch sometime this year but given that the P50 lineup was launched in July this year, much later than its usual launch timeline of March, the launch of the next-gen Mate Series phones was then postponed.
The smartphones in the lineup are expected to feature the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset.
Unlike this processor powering other smartphones, it will be different in the Mate 50 Series as it will support only 4G connectivity instead of 5G connectivity.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset will be manufactured by Samsung using its 4nm process and three-cluster architectural design. The flagship processor is set to officially launch next month.
The phone is also expected to feature an LTPO display, the same technology that we get to see in the Apple iPhone 13 Series. If this is indeed the case, the Huawei Mate 50 Series could have support for adaptive refresh rate, with support for 120Hz high refresh rate.
It could also come with support for satellite connectivity when the cellular network is not available. The satellite connectivity will be used to communicate via short message service(SMS) in a situation where a cellular network is not an option.
For this, the company has reportedly opted for the Beidou Satellite System.
