At the MWC 2021 event in Barcelona, the Chinese 5G equipment manufacturer and electronics giant Huawei has presented the new generation of 5G products and services. The company aims to expand its 5G dominance with the new “1+N” strategy.
Huawei, the world’s largest supplier of telecom networking gear, is also keen to have telephone operators use its equipment to build super-fast 5G wireless networks.
Huawei came forward during the event and informed that it has developed new algorithms and technology along with ultra-wideband radio which helped them make the world’s first Massive MIMO product. It supports 64T64R and 400 MHz bandwidth. According to Huawei, it supports the whole C band enabling the roll-out of the multi-segment spectrum with the help of a single module thus reducing the number of hardware required by operators to provide 5G.
Huawei claims that the 4T64R Massive MIMO is also the lightest in the industry and says that it requires less space all the while remaining easy to install as well. This has led to a reduced cost of manufacturing and the whole module weighs just 19 KG requiring only one person to install it.
The company also presented 64T A+P Solution which is again an industry first and is the only unit in the world to support three low and three medium bands. It is also the only commercial FDD massive MIMO in the market.
“By launching this series, we aim to bring multi-antenna technology to all scenarios and bands. Several products within the solutions are one-of-a-kind and will help operators efficiently deploy 5G networks and provide a first-rate experience. Huawei will work with global partners to innovate and share 5G benefits with all”, says Yang Chaobin, President of Huawei Wireless Product Line.
