Your Top Questions Answered

Is this available outside the US? No — this is a Netflix US exclusive. International fans will need to check their local broadcaster.

Will Apple TV+ still show it? Yes. Apple TV+ remains the exclusive US broadcaster for all 2026 F1 races. Netflix is streaming this in addition to Apple, not instead of it.

Is there a pre-show? No — Netflix confirmed it is carrying Apple’s direct broadcast feed. You’ll drop straight into the action when you hit play.

Who is commentating? The F1TV commentary crew leads the broadcast — play-by-play from Alex Jacques alongside analyst Jolyon Palmer, supported by David Coulthard, Ruth Buscombe, Sam Collins, Juan Pablo Montoya, and others.

Can I rewatch it? Yes! Unlike some Netflix live events that disappear shortly after airing, the VOD replay of the Canadian Grand Prix will stay on Netflix for the entire F1 season.

Why Canada? The Sprint Weekend format — featuring both a Sprint Race and the Main Race — gives Netflix the best value for its first-ever F1 broadcast, with more on-track action across the weekend.

Why This Is a Big Moment for F1 Fans

Netflix has been part of the Formula 1 story for years through Formula 1: Drive to Survive (now in its 8th season), F1: The Academy, the Senna series, and the Schumacher documentaries. But this is the first time it has ever streamed a live race anywhere in the world — a milestone that signals how seriously Netflix is pushing into live sports.
