On 4th December 2023, Akshay Kumar took to his social media accounts and shared the new release date. The release date of Housefull 5 has been pushed to 2025 and has promises for its VFX work. He has also assured fans “five times” more entertainment this time and said, “5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025”.

The official statement from the makers read, “The Houseful! franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful! 5. The team has crafted a mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve decided to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with a great cinematic experience.”

Earlier, the makers of the movie confirmed only one cast name. Riteish Deshmukh is the first cast member of the movie Housefull 5, he has constant in the franchise since 2010 along with Akshay Kumar. It is expected that they will be returning with a new cast most likely.

Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have become synonymous with the Housefull franchise, their presence consistent throughout the series. The first two installments, Housefull (2010) and Housefull 2 (2012) were helmed by director Sajid Khan, while Housefull 3 (2016) was directed by the duo Sajid-Farhad. Housefull 4 (2019) saw Farhad Samji taking the reins as the sole director.
Housefull (2010) boasted an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey. Housefull 2 (2012) welcomed John Abraham to the lead cast alongside Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, and the late Rishi Kapoor.
