The market analysis agency, Sensor Tower recently publish its report on top mobile games worldwide in terms of revenue. Only the first quarter of 2021 is considered.
As per the report Honor of Kings surpassed PUBG Mobile and comes at the top. In case you don’t know, Honor of Kings is an online multiplayer battle arena game published by Tencent. It leads both the App Store Revenue and Overall Revenue list, but not the Google Play Revenue list. Coin Master is at the top of the Google Play Revenue list. Surprisingly PUBG Mobile ranked 9th in the same list, whereas in the other two, it holds the second position.
Honor of Kings bagged $257.5 million player spending till March this year, a 63% hike from March 2020. Over 95% of the amount came only from China and the rest was contributed by the players from Thailand (1.6%) and Taiwan (1.2%).
PUBG Mobile, on the other hand, gains $240.5 million gross revenue and comes after Honor of Kings. Around 59.7% of this amount came from China only.
