Honor had already confirmed the launch of Honor Magic Vs foldable phone in China on November 23rd of this year. Today, the company has confirmed the launch of Honor 80 series at the event. Honor 80 is highly expected that this might be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset. Meanwhile, the Honor 80 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Honor 80 Series to Feature New Snapdragon 7-Series Chipsets

Based on earlier rumors, the 80 series will come with the 80 SE, 80, and 80 Pro. The 80 SE is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The 80 has Snapdragon 782G processor and the 80 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which will be under-clocked to 3GHz from 3.2GHz, as per the company.

We can expect it to ship with a 120Hz OLED display in 80 series. Screen is expected for all models. Earlier rumours suggested that the 80 Pro Plus might have a flexible & curved 1.5K amoled screen. On the other hand, 100W charging and 12GB RAM with 256GB Storage on the base model are expected.

Coming to the optics, the 80 Pro will have dual 50-megapixel cameras on the front. The back panel of the device is likely to feature a 160-megapixel primary camera. The 80 is likely to have a 108-megapixel main camera, while the 80 SE could be equipped with a 64-megapixel primary camera.

The company has already confirmed MagicOS 7.0 will also be introduced at the event. The MagicOS 7.0 will offer cross-application, cross-device, and cross-system intelligent IoT experience offering a seamless user experience for different devices.

There is no information about the pricing yet. The newer SOCs being used on these phones might add to the price. We can expect that the vanilla Honor 80 might debut at 599$. The 80 Pro might be priced at 699$.
