Kelly Curtis Overview

A Life Rooted in Legacy

Born into one of Hollywood’s most storied families, Kelly made her screen debut at just two years old in the 1958 epic The Vikings, appearing alongside her parents. Trained at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, she went on to roles in Trading Places (1983) alongside Jamie, and international productions like the German comedy Magic Sticks (1987) and Dario Argento’s The Devil’s Daughter (1991). On TV, she featured in The Sentinel, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Judging Amy.

More Than an Actress

In her later years, Kelly found a new voice behind the camera — directing two documentaries: Marby Jets Are Go (2018) about an Australian high school track team, and Curling in Stanley (2019). She also worked as a production assistant on Jamie’s films, including Freaky Friday and You Again. Beyond entertainment, she was known for her love of Pokémon Go, thrifting, nature, and her legendary Christmas crescent cookies — which earned her the family nickname “Auntie Cookie.”
