Sam’s Heartbreaking Motivation
Sam’s son Kai died in a car crash one year ago — Sam believes it was murder by the same organization behind Season 1’s plane hijacking. With no answers from German authorities and the anniversary of Kai’s death, Sam’s grief pushed him to desperate action.
Mysterious blackmailers use photos of his ex-wife Marsha to control Sam. He’s not orchestrating the hijack — he’s following orders to keep Marsha alive.
The Real Hijackers Remain Hidden
Sam isn’t calling the shots. He’s following orders from people who killed his son and are threatening Marsha. When Sam tries to negotiate with Peter Faber and German authorities, the puppet masters tighten their grip by murdering Freddie.
The discovery of an actual bomb under the train confirms Sam’s worst fears — these people will kill everyone aboard if their demands aren’t met. Sam must now balance protecting 200 passengers while keeping Marsha alive.
