In one of the most unusual box office runs of the year, Hanuman Ansh just did something no Bollywood film has managed before — it obliterated an all-time record in a single weekend, deep into its theatrical run.

Hanuman Ansh: A Record That Didn’t Stand a Chance

The film collected Rs 49.50 crore nett approx. in its sixth weekend alone. For context, the previous record for the biggest sixth week at the all-India level belonged to Kantara, at Rs 37 crore nett — a number Hanuman Ansh smashed in just three days. It also topped its own fifth-week haul of Rs 46.50 crore, making this its strongest weekend of the entire run. The film’s cumulative total has now crossed Rs 200 crore nett, sitting at approximately Rs 205 crore.

Week-Wise Collections

Period	Collection (Nett)
Week One	Rs 0.90 crore
Week Two	Rs 0.45 crore
Week Three	Rs 10.25 crore
Week Four	Rs 58.50 crore
Week Five	Rs 85.00 crore
6th Friday	Rs 10.00 crore
6th Saturday	Rs 18.50 crore
6th Sunday	Rs 21.00 crore
Total	Rs 204.60 crore

What’s Driving This Unusual Growth

Business was actually held back slightly by Ganesh Chaturthi festivities affecting Maharashtra and neighboring regions — meaning the film could have added even more. Occupancy dropped from 70–75% last Sunday to around 50% this time, suggesting the frenzy may be starting to stabilize. With a public holiday cushioning the next two days, Wednesday is expected to offer the first real signal of where the film settles — and trade estimates now suggest a lifetime total north of Rs 300 crore nett.
