Hanuman Ansh Box Office: Devotional Drama Shatters Records, Nears Rs 300 Crore Club

Small budget, massive miracle. Hanuman Ansh has pulled off one of Bollywood’s most remarkable box office stories, closing its Week 7 with a record-breaking Rs 42.75 crore — the highest 7th-week collection any Hindi film has ever recorded, surpassing even Dhurandhar’s previous benchmark.

Despite a 45% drop compared to Week 6, the milestone barely dents the film’s legendary run. Made on a shoestring budget of just Rs 2-3 crore, the devotional drama has already cemented itself as a Historic Blockbuster with one of the highest return-on-investment ratios in Indian cinema history. The film’s total nett collection in India now stands at an astonishing Rs 274.25 crore after 49 days in theaters, putting it just Rs 25 crore away from joining the elite Rs 300 crore club.

Its trajectory tells a fascinating story of slow-burn word-of-mouth success — starting with a modest Rs 0.90 crore in Week One before exploding to Rs 58.25 crore and Rs 84.75 crore in Weeks Four and Five respectively, proof that devotional content continues to find massive, dedicated audiences in Indian theaters. Whether it crosses the Rs 300 crore mark will largely depend on how it holds up against the incoming competition from Drishyam 3: The Conclusion.

Why This Matters?

A film made for just Rs 2-3 crore crossing Rs 274 crore is an extraordinary outlier in an industry dominated by big-budget spectacles, highlighting the enduring commercial power of faith-based storytelling in Indian cinema.
