Turns out, even one of the world’s most-watched celebrity couples can catch you off guard when it comes to parenthood. Hailey Bieber — model, skincare mogul, and wife to Justin Bieber — has been refreshingly candid about her first year of motherhood, and what she shared might just surprise you.

Jack Blues Bieber: Everything We Know So Far

The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, on August 22, 2024, and the little one is already showing personality. According to Hailey, Jack Blues has developed a love for basketball and has begun learning to say “please” — a word he had already been communicating through American Sign Language before he could speak it aloud. That detail alone says so much about how intentionally this couple is raising their son.

What Hailey Said About Being a First-Time Mom

In a heartfelt and surprisingly down-to-earth appearance on the Therapuss podcast, Hailey opened up about how motherhood defied her expectations — in the best possible way.

She admitted she always knew she wanted to be a mother, but nothing could fully prepare her for what it actually felt like until it happened. The biggest surprise? How calm she felt. She described herself as far more relaxed in the role of mother than she anticipated, especially as a first-timer navigating something so unknown.

As for expanding their family, Hailey made it clear the door is very much open. She said she definitely wants at least one more child, though she’s not in a rush — and mused that the number could go much higher. She’s simply taking things one day at a time, which feels both refreshing and real.

Despite ongoing media speculation about trouble between her and Justin, the pair have continued to present a united, loving front — and the way Hailey talks about their son makes it clear that family is everything to them right now.
