What Happened in Episode 8? (Recap)
Episode 8, titled “The Cube”, is one of the season’s wildest hours yet. Due to a court gag order, Deborah cannot hold a press conference for her Madison Square Garden show. After hiring Katya Zamolodchikova to play her younger self fails spectacularly, Deborah attempts a grand illusion stunt on the Vegas Strip using a giant glass cube suspended by a crane.
During the stunt, a massive power outage leaves Deborah trapped 100 feet in the air inside the glass cube. Rather than panic publicly, Deborah turns the near-disaster into free advertising — selling out her Madison Square Garden show in just ten minutes.
Meanwhile, the heartbreak belongs to Jimmy. Facing a $30 million lawsuit from Kayla’s father, Jimmy makes a gut-wrenching sacrifice — surrendering his independent agency to Latitude and humbly accepting a painful demotion to the mailroom, just to protect Kayla and secure his clients’ futures.

Episode 9 follows the fallout from Deborah’s suspended Las Vegas stunt, now a citywide media event, as preparations begin in earnest for her Madison Square Garden performance. Jimmy continues adjusting to his new position at Latitude, while Kayla deals with the consequences of her father’s legal and financial actions.
