Guus Til joins PSV Eindhoven on a long-term deal till 2026

PSV Eindhoven have officially announced the signing of Guus Til on a long-term deal. The player has signed a four-year contract with the Dutch side until 2026, and has been presented as their new signing as well.

He becomes the third big signing for manager Ruud Van Nilsterooy ahead of the new season. Luuk de Jong has been signed from Sevilla, while Xavi Simons has been signed as a free agent on a long-term contract.

Guus Til joins PSV Eindhoven on a permanent transfer

The attacking midfielder revealed that the conversation with Ruud Van Nilsterooy was critical in him making the final call.

“The trainer has expressed his confidence in me and told me about PSV’s ambitions. They convinced me. I want to win prizes here”, Guus Til told PSV’s official website. “The picture that PSV painted for me is very attractive. A lot is possible here in sports. It also gives the stability I was looking for.”

Til calls PSV ‘an enormous club’. “Everything exudes class. I’m looking forward to working here.”

The transfer fee for the deal is around €3 million. Feyenoord wanted to keep hold of the player for the coming season, but were unable to do so. He helped the club reach the finals of the Europa Conference League, scoring 21 goals in 49 games across all competitions. As a result, his addition will be a very valuable one for the Dutch side in the coming season.
