Google Unveils AI-Powered ‘Help Me Write’ Feature for Gmail Users

These initiatives received a boost from the development of artificial intelligence, which allowed it to introduce products like Smart Reply in 2017 and Smart Compose in 2018. Google unveiled its newest AI-driven feature at the developer conference this year, enabling users to instantly generate complete email responses.

All about Google’s AI Feature!

At its Mountain View campus, Google earlier hosted its yearly I/O developer conference. During the keynote address, Google CEO Sundar Pichai covered a variety of subjects and news, including updates to Maps and its 3D teleconferencing tool, Project Starline. Nearly 2 billion Gmail users have expressed interest in one specific new feature announcement called “Help Me Write”.

Google’s earlier Smart Reply and Smart Compose tools have provided users with minimal reply creation assistance and predictive text suggestions ever since their initial introduction. Help Me Write enhances these features by giving users the ability to create and expound on complete messages with just one click. The technique was created by company’s developers to reduce the amount of time needed to create straightforward, repeating messages and answers to common queries and demands.

In Pichai’s example, a user replies to an email, clicks on the symbol for the new function, and enters the required intent into a prompt. The end result was an email that was precise and well-written and contained information directly relevant to the original message. Once the message has been created, users of Help Me Write can manually modify, ask the AI to elaborate, or abbreviate it.

This new email feature and several other AI-assisted composition tools were mentioned in a recent blog post. These tools are all a component of Google’s new Duet AI for the Workspace. The recently released Workspace tool package gives users AI-assisted tools to develop text and graphic content through detailed prompts, much like Help Me Write’s email authoring features. For instance, Duet AI will support Google Slide users in creating fresh, unique prompt-based images for their presentations.

Users of Sheets can use Google’s AI to streamline their operations using data. In order to monitor tasks and projects using the same prompt-based description functionality, Duet AI’s new Help Me Organise tool can help users by automatically constructing customized plans. Google’s Workspace Labs sign-up page allows users who are interested in previewing these new technologies to sign up for access. Selected users will have early access to Google’s most recent generative AI capabilities in Workspace and the chance to offer input on their use, problems, and future enhancements.
