Google is making its smartphone operating system better than ever with almost every update at present. We already witness a huge revamp in the Android 12, which is still growing at the public beta stage. Now, another step from the search engine giant.
In the present stable Android versions, an option is there in settings to “opt out of personalized ads”. It mainly restricts other apps to track activities via the unique Advertiser ID. Google is going to make some modifications to it and will reflect with the Google Play service update later this year. The update will roll out in phases around the globe.
As per Google, post the update, if any user opts out of personalization using advertising ID in Settings, the ID will be removed completely. In any application try to access that, will receive a string of zeros in the place of identifier.
As I mentioned earlier, the change will reflect post the upcoming Google Play service rollout which will start in late 2021 in multiple phases.
