The Google Pixel 9 series is reportedly launching on August 13 in markets outside of the US. The Pixel 9 series has been in the rumor mill for some time, but only now is it being officially confirmed that Google will make the launch of its new flagship available to buyers in India.

The Upcoming Google Pixel 9 Series

A dedicated landing page for the Pixel 9 series has gone live on India’s premier e-commerce Flipkart. While the microsite discloses the rear panel design of Google Pixel 9 Pro, it also tips that in India, we can expect to see not just an upcoming foldable from Google but indeed its first foldable smartphone to enter the Indian market.

Flipkart confirms that the Google Pixel 9 series will launch in India on August 14. The Pixel 9 series will be released in India soon after, and the “Made by Google” event is set to take place on August 13 at 10:00 AM PT or 10:30 PM IST. The Google Pixel 9 family will consist of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Flipkart microsite for now only has both the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold listed, but that can change in a matter of few hours.

The page features the Google Pixel 9 Pro in a cream/off-white version and a black finish for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 9 Pro appears to pack a triple rear camera configuration also, as rumored. Pixel 9 Pro Fold, on the other hand, has a big square camera island to which the top left is hinged instead of the usual camera bar.

The Pixel 9 series would pack a new Tensor G3 chipset with upgraded camera hardware and AI-enabled features. On top of the rumors and leaks, that the Pixel 9 series will uphold seven years of Android OS and security updates.
