Go Team!: Netflix’s Spanish Workplace Comedy Turns a Company Retreat Into Total Chaos

A corporate retreat is supposed to be a break from office stress — not the place where you learn your job might disappear. Netflix’s new Spanish ensemble comedy Go Team! flips the classic team-building trip on its head, and it’s streaming worldwide starting September 11, 2026.

What Go Team! Is About

The story follows employees of Tío Mochales, a once-thriving Spanish cheese company now struggling to stay afloat. Hoping to boost morale, management sends the staff to the small village where the business first began for a retreat centered on “getting back to basics.” But the trip quickly turns tense once employees learn that major layoffs are coming, transforming what should’ve been a relaxing getaway into a pressure cooker of anxiety, suspicion, and workplace politics.

Go Team!- Overview

Who’s in the Cast

Go Team! brings together a strong lineup of Spanish film and television talent, led by Alexandra Jiménez, Maribel Verdú, Pedro Casablanc, Raúl Tejón, and Blanca Martínez, with Ismael Fritschi and Víctor Rebull rounding out the ensemble. The film also features special appearances from Saturnino García and Pepe Viyuela. Netflix hasn’t released a full character breakdown, keeping details about who plays which role — and how the layoff drama unfolds — under wraps ahead of release.

Why It’s Worth Watching

Rather than offering an escape from office tension, the rural setting actually intensifies it, trapping colleagues together with nowhere to retreat from the uncomfortable conversations building among them. It’s a clever inversion of the usual “corporate retreat” trope, promising plenty of comedic friction as employees navigate uncertainty, rivalry, and self-preservation all at once.
