Girls’ Generation’s “Genie” Just Joined The 100 Million Views Club — Their 10th MV To Do It

Seventeen years after its release, Girls’ Generation is still breaking records. On September 19, 2026, at around 11:55 a.m. KST, the group’s 2009 hit “Genie” crossed 100 million views on YouTube — making it the tenth full-group music video from SNSD to hit this milestone.

For a girl group that debuted back in 2007, that kind of staying power says everything about their legacy.

Girls’ Generation- Full 100 Million Club

Here’s every Girls’ Generation music video that has now crossed the 100-million-view mark:

Why “Genie” Hitting This Milestone Matters

“Genie” is one of Girls’ Generation’s earliest breakout hits, released in the same era as “Gee” — the song widely credited with cementing their status as one of K-pop‘s defining girl groups. That two songs from this same debut era are still pulling in fresh views nearly two decades later shows just how enduring their early discography remains with both longtime fans and newer listeners discovering the group through YouTube’s algorithm.

It also reflects a broader trend: K-pop’s biggest legacy acts continue to see steady catalog growth on streaming platforms, often driven by nostalgia, throwback content, and short-form video trends bringing older hits back into the spotlight.

What’s Next For Girls’ Generation Members

While the group celebrates this milestone together, individual members continue to stay busy. Sooyoung currently stars in the drama IDOL I, while Yoona is starring in the film Pretty Crazy — both signs that SNSD’s members remain major forces in Korean entertainment well beyond their group activities.
