So… Is Season 4 the Last One?

This is the question nobody can stop asking. Sara Waisglass posted the most ominous of the wrap messages, writing: “That’s a wrap wrap wrap! Love this cast. Love this crew. Max, I will miss you” — the phrase “I will miss you” strongly implying a permanent goodbye to her character.

Adding further fuel was crew member Scott Parker’s lengthy farewell post, which had a distinct air of finality — writing that he got to “sit and watch our cast & crew put their hearts into this show until the very last cut” and calling it an honour he would cherish forever.

However, creator Sarah Lampert has stated she is open to more stories beyond Season 4, and several new ideas emerged during the writing process that could sustain the show further — meaning Netflix’s renewal decision will ultimately come down to how Season 4 performs on the platform. Movie Insider

What Happens in Season 4? The Big Storylines

The Season 4 official logline confirms Georgia is broke again, pregnant, and unsure whether the father is Paul or Joe — while strange occurrences hint that her buried past is clawing back to the surface. Ginny is desperate to break the cycle of chaos, and Austin faces his biggest arc yet — described as “him against the world” — after lying on the stand in Season 3. Deadline

Three major new characters join the story: Ali Skovbye as Rainn, Kataem O’Connor as Isaiah, and Sunny Mabrey as Daisy — with the name Daisy heavily implying fans will finally meet Georgia’s mother on screen for the first time. The Hollywood Reporter

When Will Season 4 Land on Netflix?

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed during the Q3 2025 earnings call that the show returns in 2026, but the series was notably absent from Netflix’s official January 2026 lineup announcement — with Netflix’s own disclaimer noting that select title announcements would come later in the year.

If Season 4 follows the same 100-day post-production timeline as Season 3, a mid-to-late 2026 premiere becomes the most realistic target Disney — though early 2027 remains possible.

According to Ginny & Georgia‘s Wikipedia page, the show first premiered on Netflix on February 24, 2021 — making Season 4 its fifth year of captivating audiences worldwide with its unique blend of mother-daughter drama, dark mystery, and small-town comedy.
