Ghost of Yotei Legends, the free online co-op multiplayer mode, arrives on PS5 March 10, 2026 (March 11 in some territories). Announced during Sony‘s State of Play, this free DLC for all Ghost of Yotei owners brings supernatural multiplayer action where teams challenge monstrous versions of the Yotei Six.

Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, Legends delivers three mission types at launch, four playable classes, and promises an April raid featuring the Dragon and Lord Saito himself.

Three Mission Types at Launch

Legends launches with Survival, Story, and Incursion modes designed for different team sizes and challenge levels.

Survival supports up to four players battling waves of increasingly difficult enemies across four unique maps. Teams fight to control territory, activating Blessings for advantages or unleashing Curses if control is lost. Each map features unique Curses and Blessings tied to the environment.

Story mode pairs two players through 12 missions organized into sets of three. Completing each set unlocks an Incursion—a large-scale four-player assault on a Yotei Six stronghold culminating in giant supernatural boss fights against the Spider, Oni, Kitsune, or Snake.

The remaining Yotei Six members—the Dragon and Lord Saito—will appear in an April raid update, representing the ultimate test for coordinated teams.

The Samurai offers versatility with the widest weapon selection, the Archer combines spear combat with dual ranged weapons, the Mercenary provides tactical utility with dual katana, and the Shinobi specializes in stealth assassinations using the kusarigama chain-sickle.

What’s Coming Next

The April raid update will test even veteran teams with encounters against the Dragon and Lord Saito. Sucker Punch promises regular updates on social channels as the March 10 launch approaches.

The fan response to the original Ghost of Tsushima Legends mode made it one of the most rewarding aspects of that game’s launch. Sucker Punch aims to recapture that community engagement while expanding supernatural combat possibilities in the Yotei setting.
