In a heartbreaking incident that has shocked India, three minor sisters aged 12, 14, and 16 allegedly died after jumping from the ninth floor of a residential building in Ghaziabad. Police investigations have uncovered a disturbing link to a Korean task-based gaming app, raising urgent questions about the safety of children in digital spaces.

| Date | February 4, 2026 |
| Location | Bharat City, Ghaziabad |
| Victims | Three sisters (12, 14, 16 years) |
| Suspected Cause | Task-based Korean gaming app |

The incident occurred in the early hours of February 4 at Bharat City, a residential township. A suicide note recovered from the scene revealed the girls’ emotional attachment to an online game they’d been playing for two to three years, stating it had become their “life.”
The Dangerous Game Under Investigation
According to police sources, the sisters were allegedly addicted to an online “Korean lover” game, which followed a task-based format. Most alarmingly, investigators claim the final task in the game allegedly involved suicide. A screenshot of the game was recovered from one of the girls’ mobile phones.

- Enhanced parental controls and digital literacy
- Greater accountability from app developers and platforms
- Mental health support for gaming-addicted youth
According to the National Center for Mental Health, excessive gaming can lead to behavioral changes and social withdrawal in adolescents.
How Parents Can Protect Their Children
