Version 6.4 (Luna V) is in full swing and the road ahead into 6.5 (Luna VI) is already taking shape. Whether you’re pulling for Skirk, saving for Sandrone, or just trying to figure out how many Primogems you need, here’s everything confirmed about the current and next Genshin Impact updates.

Genshin Impact

Version 6.4 & 6.5 Banner Schedule at a Glance

PhaseVersionCharactersDates
Phase 16.4 Luna VVarka (debut) + Flins (rerun)Feb 25 – Mar 17
Phase 16.4 Luna VMondstadt Chronicled WishFeb 25 – Mar 17
Phase 26.4 Luna VSkirk + Escoffier (reruns)Mar 17 – Apr 7
Phase 16.5 Luna VILinnea (debut, Geo) + TBCApr 8 – TBC
Phase 26.5 Luna VITBC (confirmed via livestream Mar 27)TBC – May ~6

Version 6.4: What’s Active Right Now

Phase 1 wrapped up on March 17, meaning the Varka debut banner and Flins rerun are now closed. Phase 2 is now live — Skirk and Escoffier rerun banners run until April 7. Skirk in particular has been a consistent high-demand banner since her debut, and her kit synergises well with the increasingly common freeze-centric comps. Escoffier is the stronger pull for players who didn’t grab her during her debut.

The Mondstadt Chronicled Wish — which ran in Phase 1 — is now closed. If you missed targeted pulls on any Mondstadt characters or weapons, the next Chronicled Wish will feature a different region.

Version 6.4 Events

Three events are running through Version 6.4 alongside the Overflowing Abundance double-drop event:

Travellers’ Tales is the main voiced story event, featuring four mini-game types: a spot-the-difference photography task in Mondstadt (e.g., finding Liben standing in for Katheryne), a rhythm game, a combat challenge, and a construction mini-game.

He Who Caught the Wind is the second event — details emerge mid-version.

The double-drop Overflowing Abundance event gives 2× resin efficiency on domains, making it the optimal week to farm artifacts and talent materials.

Version 6.5: Linnea Is Next — And Then Sandrone Looms

Version 6.5 (Luna VI) launches on April 8, 2026, based on Genshin’s consistent six-week update cadence. The version 6.5 livestream is expected on Friday, March 27, which will confirm the full banner and event schedule. Check back then for confirmed 4-star line-ups and event details.

Linnea (Geo, new character) will headline Phase 1 of 6.5 — drip marketing has already begun. Beyond 6.5, leaks point to a stacked roster through the rest of the year including Nicole (Pyro sword, Hexenzirkel arc), Sandrone (7th Fatui Harbinger, expected Version 6.7), and eventually the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya in the massive Version 7.0 update — the most anticipated region reveal since Fontaine.

Primogem Planning: Who to Save For

If you’re on a tight budget and skipping both Phase 2 of 6.4 banners (Skirk/Escoffier reruns), the smart play is to start saving for 6.5 Linnea if you run Geo teams, or hold for 6.6–6.7 for Sandrone who is widely considered a meta-defining support based on leaks.

The Lohen (Loen) character in Version 6.6 is worth noting — he is expected to be added to the Standard Banner after his debut, meaning his future rerun chances will be relatively low, making his debut banner worth pulling if you want him.
