Genshin Impact Luna III: New Characters & Major Buffs Leaked

Genshin Impact‘s Luna III update drops December 3, 2025, bringing two exciting characters and major buffs to fan-favorites. Here’s everything travelers need to know about version 6.2.

Luna III Quick Overview

Meet the New Characters

Durin transforms the legendary dragon from Mondstadt lore into a playable Pyro Sword character. This transformation happened during the Paralogism Archon quest when Albedo and the Traveler secured his heart, creating a human form while suppressing his destructive tendencies.

Jahoda, the 4-star Anemo Bow wielder, represents Nod-Krai natively and joins the roster alongside Durin’s anticipated debut.

Character Buffs & Hexenzirkel System

Mondstadt characters linked to Hexenzirkel will become “Magic” characters with unique passive buffs when teamed together. Notable 4-star characters receiving direct enhancements include Sucrose, Fischl, and Razor with improved constellation effects and new witch-themed abilities.

Venti gains massive upgrades with a new signature bow and buffed kit, potentially transforming him into a viable main DPS option.

What’s Missing?

Disappointing news for explorers—Luna III won’t feature new map expansions. This means reduced exploration rewards and fewer primogems from regional chests. However, quality-of-life improvements like increased commission rewards compensate slightly.

Smart Primogem Planning

For competitive gaming enthusiasts, Luna III demands strategic saving. With limited primogem income due to no map expansion, prioritize your most-wanted characters carefully. Pre-farm materials now to maximize efficiency when banners launch.
