Design Revolution: Starting from Scratch
According to Hubert Lee, Head of Samsung‘s Design Team, the seventh generation demanded a ground-up approach. “We approached it as if we were starting completely from scratch,” Lee explains. The result? The thinnest Galaxy Z Fold series model that immediately impresses users.

Enhanced User Experience with One UI 8
The new One UI 8 interface focuses on meaningful productivity. Galaxy Z Fold7’s large screen enables seamless AI-generated content comparison, while Z Flip7’s FlexWindow offers instant Gemini AI access.
The FlexWindow innovation allows users to interact with AI naturally – checking weather-appropriate outfits or daily schedules without unfolding the device.
Premium Design Philosophy
Samsung’s “Ultra Sleek, Ultra-Modern” concept shines through metallic finishes that express sophistication from every angle. The Silver Shadow variant exemplifies timeless premium values, while Blue Shadow showcases dynamic shine and elegance.
AI-Powered Development Process
The design teams leverage AI for virtual user testing, achieving results comparable to traditional methods. This approach accelerates development while maintaining quality standards that define Galaxy’s design identity.
The Future of Foldable Innovation
As UX Team Head Huichul Yang notes, “Design direction and the ability to guide AI creations will become even more essential.” Samsung’s approach treats these devices as lifestyle products, considering how folding and unfolding actions provide genuine value.
The Galaxy Z series continues setting foldable standards, proving that innovation thrives when teams “Design Together” with authentic collaboration.
