What Is GaayaPadda Simham About?
The film follows Darahas, an ordinary man who agrees to an arranged marriage on one condition from his future father-in-law — he must be settled in the United States first. He makes it to Dallas, but his American dream is quickly shattered when shifting immigration policies and deportation orders send him packing back to India.
Humiliated and heartbroken, Darahas irrationally blames the US President for ruining his life and hatches an utterly outrageous revenge plan, even enlisting the help of a black magic practitioner. What follows is a spiraling chain of comedic chaos, absurd situations, and run-ins with a quirky local gangster and the police. It’s the kind of unhinged premise that action-comedy films thrive on — completely over the top, and intentionally so.
Cast and Crew
Tharun Bhascker leads the film with Sree Vishnu in an extended role. The supporting cast includes Faria Abdullah, JD Chakravarthy, Maanasa Choudhary, Jhansi, Pradeep Rawat, and others. The film was jointly produced by Zee Studios, Sapta Aswa Media Works, and POV Stories, with music by Sweekar Agasthi — the composer behind the acclaimed C/o Kancharapalem.

Critical Reception
Upon its theatrical release, GaayaPadda Simham received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics. That said, absurdist comedies often find a warmer second life on OTT where audiences are in a more relaxed, casual viewing mode — so it may well win over a new crowd on Prime Video.
