Brett Lee, a former Australian pacer, chose to give one bitcoin (about Rs 40 lakh) to aid India’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. I’d also want to thank all the frontline workers who have been working round the clock during these tough times.”
3) Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s top spinner, had to leave IPL 2021 midway and return home due to his entire family being quarantined. For many, his Twitter timeline became a reference point. He proved to be of great assistance to the people seeking relief information by retweeting urgent pleas for help and working with others to help the lowest members of society.
4) Laxmipathy Balaji
CSK bowling coach Lakshimapthy Balaji tested positive for COVID-19 the day before IPL 2021 was suspended. He was transported to Chennai to spent his days recovering in isolation.
