“Fresh Off the Sea 3” Takes a Chuseok Break, Set to Return October 1

Fans of tvN’s coastal travel reality show Fresh Off the Sea 3 will need to wait a little longer for their next episode. On September 18, tvN confirmed the show will not air on September 24, taking a scheduled break in observance of South Korea’s Chuseok holiday, one of the country’s most important traditional celebrations.

The good news? The break is short-lived. Fresh Off the Sea 3 is set to return on October 1 at 8:40 PM KST, picking up right where it left off with more scenic coastal adventures and local culinary discoveries.

For those unfamiliar with the show, Fresh Off the Sea follows its cast as they travel to different coastal regions across South Korea for three days and two nights, soaking in each area’s natural beauty while sampling regional delicacies along the way. Season 3 brings back original cast member Yum Jung Ah, joined by newcomers Kim Sun Young, Kang You Seok, and Roh Yoon Seo — a fresh lineup adding new energy to the beloved travel format.

Fresh Off the Sea 3 Schedule Update

Holiday breaks like this are common practice for Korean variety shows, giving both cast and production teams a chance to observe the festive season before returning with new episodes.

While waiting for the show’s return, fans can catch Yum Jung Ah and Kim Sun Young together in Love, Take Two on Viki.

Chuseok remains one of Korea’s most celebrated traditional holidays, often compared to Thanksgiving — read more about its significance on Wikipedia.
