Brentford’s David Raya is set to leave the club this summer, with several top clubs interested in signing him. The Spain international is a target for fellow London club Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Chelsea.

Spurs might lose Hugo Lloris this summer, and need a top goalkeeper to replace him. And Raya has been identified as one of the options to succeed the World Cup winning captain. Brentford manager Thomas Frank has been open about the fact that he might leave at the end of the season, and that the price could be over £40 million for him.

David Raya to leave Brentford this summer; Freiburg’s Mark Flekken to replace him

The Spanish keeper has rejected two offers made by Brentford to renew his contract. As a result, the club has accepted the fact that he will be on his way out this summer.

Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken has been identified as the replacement for David Raya. He has a €13 million release clause in his contract which will be triggered by Brentford when the season ends. The Dutch keeper has been very impressive with the Bundesliga club, helping them challenge for the top four spots.

The 29-year-old has kept 12 clean sheets in the league this season, and has put in some eye-catching performances over the last two seasons. He is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Bees in the coming days and the transfer will be confirmed soon.
