Foxconn has approved a $400 million investment for the Hyderabad factory, which is expected to begin major production by December 2024 (or roughly Rs. 3,325 crores).

The second product category created in India after the iPhone will be AirPods. The true wireless stereo (TWS) market is now led by Apple’s AirPods. According to research firm Canalys, it held a 36% share of the global TWS market in the quarter ending in December 2022.
Samsung came in second place to Apple with a 7.5% market share, followed by Xiaomi with 4.4%, Boat with 4%, and Oppo with 3%. Its factory in Hyderabad will begin producing Apple’s wireless earbuds, AirPods.
In order to increase its competitiveness in India, which mostly assembles information and communication technology, will actively pursue projects involving critical components in the future. They will deploy in Karnataka, Telangana, and other states in addition to its current operations in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
According to Foxconn’s earnings presentation, it would build industrial parks and optimize the business climate in terms of infrastructure, policies, and laws through close collaboration with central and local governments.
