Mandalorian Jetpack, NPCs, and Outfits: What’s New in the Galactic Battle Update?

The centerpiece of the May 22, 2025 update is undoubtedly the Mandalorian Jetpack. Drawing inspiration from the legendary bounty hunter of the Star Wars universe, this new mobility item allows players to soar above the battlefield, opening up a world of tactical possibilities. The jetpack’s limited fuel and cooldown mechanics ensure that it remains balanced, rewarding skillful use and strategic planning. Whether you’re evading enemy fire, reaching high ground, or executing daring aerial assaults, the Mandalorian Jetpack is set to become a game-changer in both casual and competitive play.

But the Galactic Battle update doesn’t stop there. Epic Games has introduced a roster of new NPCs, each with their own unique abilities, quests, and rewards. These characters are scattered across the map, offering players fresh challenges and opportunities for collaboration or confrontation. Some NPCs provide valuable loot or information, while others may trigger dynamic events that can turn the tide of a match. This infusion of interactive elements adds depth to the Fortnite experience, encouraging exploration and strategic decision-making at every turn.

Cosmetic customization has always been a cornerstone of Fortnite’s appeal, and the May 22 update delivers in spades. Themed outfits inspired by galactic warriors, space explorers, and iconic sci-fi motifs are now available, allowing players to express their individuality while embracing the spirit of the season. From sleek armor sets to whimsical alien costumes, the new skins are already making waves on social media, with players eager to showcase their latest looks.
