Chrome Splashes, weapons that may be levelled up after dealing a certain amount of damage, and Keys that open vaults are just a few of the new game elements that have been added to the current Fortnite season. Since you simply need to find one or more Keys, you are no longer need to visit a Vault with a colleague in order to enter it.
All of Fortnite’s accessible vaults are highlighted on the map. While the ones in red are more difficult to access and provide better loot, the ones in blue simply need one Key to be opened. The island is home to 15 distinct Vaults, one for practically every region.

In Fortnite, you need at least one Key to unlock Vaults. They are scattered over the island, either as ground loot or buried in boxes. Check which Vaults are accessible on the game map and how many keys are required to open them before going there. While single-key vaults have decent loot, two-key vaults offer better payouts. When you get at the proper spot, interact with the door to make it open.
