After having the statement contrary from Flipkart, people who pre-ordered their PS5 during the May 17 pre-booking have informed that their device either still not been delivered or are being cancelled.
Some people came out on Twitter to talk about the PS5 orders being cancelled by Flipkart; meanwhile, others claim that those who did their pre-orders on dates later than May 17 have had their orders confirmed.
Some buyers became so frustrated that they created a petition on Change.org, asking little more than for Flipkart to make their pre-orders to be delivered that have already been paid for. IGN India has also reached out to Flipkart for comment, but they got nothing at the time of publishing.
Flipkart has responded that orders are being delayed due to the global pandemic; the company informed in an earlier statement that it’s not cancelling anyone’s orders.
“Due to the localised lockdowns, there are some delays in logistics due to which some orders are yet to be delivered,” reads a statement from the company sent to IGN India. “We have proactively informed customers of the delay and are working towards having them delivered at the earliest. We have not asked any customers to cancel their orders.”
Meanwhile, people are claiming that their orders are still being cancelled even after the statement from Flipkart regarding the contrary. However, while few are informed that Flipkart is trying to convince them to cancel the pre-orders, Flipkart offers coupons worth Rs. 500 to Rs. 2000.
