Flex X Cop Season 2’s First Teaser Just Answered “Who’s The New Boss?”

Ahn Bo Hyun’s rule-breaking chaebol detective is officially back — and this time, he’s facing someone even he can’t charm his way past. The first teaser for Flex x Cop 2 dropped on July 2, and it’s already setting up a season built on rivalry, wealth, and unfinished fear.

What The Teaser Reveals?

Ahn Bo Hyun returns as Jin Yi Soo, the third-generation chaebol heir who treats his money and connections like shortcuts around the law. Joining him this season is Jung Eun Chae as Joo Hye Ra, a hardened veteran detective who becomes his new partner — and who happens to be someone from his past he’d rather forget.

The teaser opens with Jin Yi Soo confidently asking, “Now, shall we begin?” before jetting overseas on a private plane with his tight-knit Violent Crimes Unit teammates to chase down criminals across borders.

Flex X Cop S2: Overview

Wealth Meets Old Fear

True to form, Jin Yi Soo keeps flexing his resources to solve crimes — summoning helicopters, engaging in luxury car chases, and toasting champagne mid-mission. But his confidence cracks the moment his new team leader arrives, revealed to be Joo Hye Ra, the intimidating instructor who once terrified him back at police academy. Their reunion plays out through a judo throw and a swinging baton, instantly reestablishing exactly who’s in charge now.

Adding to the tension, a mysterious threat warns Jin Yi Soo that someone is targeting him with dangerous intent, while newcomer Yoo Seung Ho’s character teases a fresh storyline still to unfold.

Jin Yi Soo’s entire arc leans on his identity as a chaebol heir, a term describing South Korea’s powerful family-run business dynasties — a backdrop that’s fueled countless K-drama plots exploring wealth, power, and privilege colliding with everyday justice.
