First firmware updates are now available for the Apple AirPods Pro 2 TWS earphones, which were introduced earlier this month and put on sale yesterday.

AirPods Pro 2 released notes for firmware update details:

The release notes for the updated firmware, which has version number 5A377, state that it includes bug fixes and “other improvements,” although we are unsure of exactly what problems this update fixes or what improvements are made.

The AirPods typically receive firmware updates while they are charging and within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Since there is no common method for manually installing the updates, you will need to wait until the update is transmitted to your headphones.
