Final Table Episode 2: Hong Hwa Yeon Chases Ahn Hyo Seop to the Airport

Missed flights, high-stakes cooking and a tense table for two. JTBC’s new drama Final Table is turning up the heat in its second episode. Hong Hwa Yeon rushes to the airport to stop Ahn Hyo Seop from boarding a flight. Here’s what to expect.

What Is Final Table About?

Final Table follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather for “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a high-stakes competition to find the best Korean chef. It’s a mix of food, rivalry and emotion, a familiar recipe in K-dramas that always keeps viewers coming back.

How We Got Here: Episode 1 Recap?

In the premiere, genius chef Kang Han (Ahn Hyo Seop) visits Famiglia, a restaurant tied to precious memories of his father, just before leaving for the United States. The food disappoints him badly, and he storms into the kitchen to say so. That’s where he clashes with Choi Song Yi (Hong Hwa Yeon), the daughter of the restaurant’s late chef-owner.

Not the best first impression, but certainly a memorable one.

Episode 2 Preview: The Airport Chase

Choi Song Yi decides her only way to save the struggling Famiglia is to join The Table: K-Chef 2026. And she believes she needs Kang Han to make it happen.

So she heads straight to the airport to stop him from leaving:

• A desperate plea: She earnestly begs for his help with determination in her eyes.
• A surprised chef: Kang Han is caught off guard by her sudden appearance and bold proposal.
• A charged conversation: The two sit across a table, and the tension between them is clear.

The big question: will Kang Han stay in Korea, or board his flight as planned?
